which Subwoofer company is better
which Subwoofer company is better
cerwin vega, absolute ,orion or diamond audio. On a side note what do u think is the best 8 inch sub and whats the best amp. company (how many watts in an amp would i need to power a 6ohm at about 350watts)
I like Diamond. I have a single 12" M6. For an 8" sub, the best, I would vote for a JL 8W7. Amps, I just switched my Honda CRV to Memphis amps. Lots of good power and very inexpensive. Just my opinions.
that is the most open ended question possible, all you are going to get is people's personal opinions - no real facts. The fact is, there are many major brands that are all quality, some more than others but still its hard to get a "bad" brand. You get what you pay for - thats what you should go by.
Need more info regarding your second question - 6ohms at 350watts - what kind of speaker, single or double voice coil?? that will make the difference in the amp you choose. If you want an amp to put out 350watts at 6ohms that amp could potentially be a 1500watt-2000watt amp.
I am running a 6ohm dual voice coil sub. a 1200watt amp at 1ohm turns out to ba a 400watt amp at 4ohms. My speaker is wired from one coil's neg and pos to the other coil's neg and pos then to the amp terminal. The speaker is now running at 3ohms, from one coil to another will cut the ohms in half (very basic explanation I know but it will explain enough now) so if your speaker is a dual 6ohm you would get the cleanest sound if you wire both coil's straight to the amp (one on each channel). The speaker would be running at 6ohms, but if you "daisy chained" the wire from one coil to the other and then out to the amp, the speaker would be running at 3ohms,getting more power but at a cost of clean sound (a dirtier bass sound the lower the ohms).
Long story short we need more info on your speaker to determin the best amp for the job.

Wow... Residual Freedom you confused the hell out of me with that one.. lol but i got it now.. ok doing the match you would need roughly 525W @ 4ohms to get about 350w @ 6ohms... but like residual freedom said we need more info because if the sub/s is dvc then you could either run @ 3 or 12 ohms.. and you never want to run each voice coil to its own channel of the amp... stick with running them in series or parallel...
