Subs In Truck Setup

So after waiting a long while and saving up some money i am getting infinity speakers in all my doors installed (i can't im a total noob) on wednesday for my 00 TL. The plan is to also wire the factory sub back because it stopped working after the new headunit was installed. Im thinking though if im going through all this effort why not get subs in the trunk and go all out. Part of what makes the 2nd Gen TL great though is the trunk space and accessibility. After searching through the forums i couldn't find anyone with a sub or two in the trunk with an amp that still had a lot of trunk space. Should i just get an aftermarket instead of the bose sub behind the back row? Can you guys recommend any options for me? Thanks!

Good Sound does not Hand in Hand with Practicability.
I would Sacrifice Trunk Space for Good Sound but thats me.

I currently have a 12" JL W7, and two amps mounted on the box with a capacitor in my 00 TL. Honestly, it takes up a lot (if not all the space) in the trunk. I just sacrifice and use my backseats as cargo room. Nothing beats setting off car alarms and getting angry looks

think about a powered sub. JLGT12 Probass looks good. I researched the Basslink and they do not seem like they are very reliable.

Just get one of these boxes in the trunk and it'll produce enough bass.

JL Audio CP112-W0V3, just get it from your local dealer and save yourself the shipping cost. They are about the same price everywhere.

I go fishing a lot so I need the backseat hole. With this box, you'll have plenty of space in the trunk, just make sure to use enough speaker wire so you can move around the box. GL

I've got a 12" sub with a decent size box and still have plenty of space for 2 sets of golf clubs in the trunk, along with space on either side for smaller things....just do it because you will not regret it.

Is that a custom box or retail? If retail, what's the model?

Custom. Designed it just for that subwoofer, however I blew the sub by overpowering it and will be going with a Sundown unit next. It is ported & tuned to 32Hz at the moment. You're local so if you want one or need help message me. either way, message me if you aren't on our facebook page.
