Subs Busted?
The other night i was out and i let a friend drive my car around the block, he came back and my system and everything was still working i got into the car and literall as soon as i started going my subs just went dead. 1st i checked the amp all wiring to it was good and the power lights were on. I then checked the wiring from my deck, and those were good too, i checked all the fuses and none were blown, does ne body have ne idea what the hell happened to my subs, is my amp just ****ed or what?

Disconnect the sub terminals from the amp and directly check the sub speaker terminals with an ohm meter. If you get OL or infinity, the subs are probably dead. (I use a Fluke 23 series multimeter). Besides the obvious smell of burnt subs, I confirmed mine were dead with my Fluke reading OL.
If you read a resistance, they are probably OK and we'll have to troubleshoot from here.
Check them with a multimeter and post your results.

You can get a volt/ohmmeter at any auto parts store.
Did you do your installation or have it done? How did you check all of your other gear? I'm assuming you used a voltmeter. Most voltmeters are also ohmmeters. Did you use a test light?
You need to check the impedance of your voice coils to know whether or not you have paperweights. This can only be done with an ohmmeter. Get a $20 model at autozone, pep boys, or similar.

Something else to check is the ground to your amp. I ran into a similar problem and it turns out the ground wire had come loose. Don't overlook the easy stuff either...

if u have a spare speaker laying around, hook that up to the amp and have the volume low....thats another easy way to test for blown speakers....always have a spare speaker(any cheap one will do) to use as a replacement tester

No need to get the meter. Use the AA (1.5V) battery to test it. Touch the 2 sub terminals to the battery and if you hear a pop and the driver/cone move, your sub is ok. If no movement or pop, then your sub is dead. Cheapest way to test speaker.
