98 3.0 - adding cd changer

I have a 6 disk changer (factory) from a 94 Legend. Can I install it in my CL? If yes, what do I need to do? How do I connect it to the in dash Boise system.

the back of the stock deck of the 98 cl has a female connector that you can just plug in a 6 disc changer. of course you need the right cable. if the 6 disc changer you have is made by alpine, it should work. i used my old alpine deck on my previous 98 cl and the cable from alpine plugged in perfectly.

Thanks for the help

i'm not sure but almost positive that alpine made the older honda changers. i had someone do the removal of the hu for me so i can't help you there. if it were the 01 hu, i could walk you through it step by step.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. I think the radio slide out with the compartment below it. But I'm not sure how long the wire are behind the radio. I've been searching the web for radio removal but have found nothing yet.

Thanks for your help

i did a search and found this for a 97 acura cl.

1. trim panel around car stereo is removed by gently prying to remove clips.

2. disconnect connectors and set aside trim

3. remove two screws exposed under stereo

4. pull stereo from dash and disconnect radio connector and antenna.

not sure if 97 is the same as 98. but if you are able to pull out the radio, the wires behind should be long enough for you to be able to disconnect them. just pull out the hu slowly.
