Which Sub and Why?

Im putting an 8" sub behind my seats in my MX5. I like tight and punchy bass which won't be a problem with an 8" sub, I just would like to know the better route.

I've used JL in the past, I've used Infinity in the past...both have far superceded my expectations in quality and noise produced.

My options are:

The 8" Infinity Reference (250w RMS, 1000w Peak, 4oHm), $50~

or

The 8" JL Audio W3 (250w RMS, 500w Peak, 4oHm), $150+~

Is there really any sense just paying for the name with JL Audio? The Infinity has awesome reviews all across the board as well.

Thank in advance!

^ I too aggree with JL audio, but im biased because i am running 2 JL 10" W6. IMO i wouldn't cheap out ona sub woofer as its gonna get daily use and in the long run, you dont want it to end up breaking or ripping prematurely. JL's warrenty is also pretty good

We need more details... There's no 1 sub fits all spaces/enclosures... Personally, I'd look at something like an SA-8 if you can run a ported box or a SoundSplinter RL-i8 or True Bass Ultra 8 if you can't. Just my 2 cents though...

^Those are pretty nice too... Seem 'em up close, and they're definitely beefy...
