Sub interference?

Can anyone help me out with this, I can have the sub control off on the face and interference is coming out of the subs in lound sharp booms all by itself, even when the music is on also with the sub on, but it is a constant level, what can cause this? Thanks

There may be a problem with your amp.

i had same thing i think

Where did you get it installed? I brought mine to circuit city. After i had it installed I went to my friends house and we were turning up the gain cause the cc guy set it at 20%. I turned it up to about 75% and it sounded good until I turned the car off with the radio still on and my sub kept making a constant noise like you said and it wouldnt stop until I turned on the car again. I brought it back and supposedly it was something with the auto-turn off. The amp was still sending power to the sub when the car was off. It blew my sub. I brought it back to CC, and I upgraded in the process. Sounds lot nicer now.
