a simple primer on the different box types. whichever box is 'better' depends on what you want.
small space and tight bass = sealed (high power requirement) .. good for lighter instrumental music that needs accurate drumbeats or for plain ole good sound quality,
larger space and boomier bass = ported (less power required) .. good for hard rock that just wants a longer hit,
and even larger and boomier = bandpass (even less power) great for rap and those block blasting setups that rattle windows.
so you see, there's a definite tradeoff going on here. efficiency vs. accuracy
