Sub and amp install help...
Can anyone give me instructions on how to install a sub, amp and volume controller (JL Audio 250/1 Amplifier + JL Audio CS210-W3 2-10") to my stock system...I tried a search and couldn't find anything...
Should I even try to do this on my own(having no experience what so ever)???
If not, can you guys recommend any places where I can get this installed...I live in NYC, but anywhere in the tristate area is fine as long as its worth it...
Thanks

If you'll check the top of the forum...you'll see some useful info...basically you'll need to tap a low level signal with two wires and feed that signal to your amp, so you will get four wire taps, some 12 gauge wire, and two rca connectors. You'll tap the stereo signal feeding into your stock amplifier, run the tap wire from it, and feed it to your aftermarket amp. You will also need to run a power wire from the battery through the boot in the firewall between your engine bay and interior (by the footpedals) and down through the trim. You will have to find a place where you can attach a groundwire close to your amp that goes into the chassy, such as a screw that holds something in place (you'll attach an eyering to the end of the groundwire and screw it in). Make sure to sand the area around the screw for good contact.
The volume controller you attach per its instructions...

I got the amp to work, but now I am not getting any sound from the sub, except for a clicking noise when I fiddle with the amplifier low-pass filter slope selection (?)...I tapped into the blue, black wires (right rear speaker) and red, green wires (left rear speaker)...I tapped positive to positive and negative to negatve assuming that in a monster cable the red and blue wires are the positives and the accompanying black wires are the respective negatives...
The stock system works fine...its the sub that is not producing sound...
What could I possibly be doing wrong ...
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
