Sub for alpine PDX 1000.1 & brahma trouble
I have an alpine pdx 1000w amp. Spec sheet showed more like 1100 watts or so, dont remember exactly but it was well over 1k.
I had an adira audio brahma sub, which i still have, but i "melted" the tinsel lead. I tried to contact adire audio about getting the sub repaired but had problems contacting them through their website. I may get this sub repaired and sell it, may sell as is, or may keep it.
Assuming i go the route of a new sub i was thinking 13w7 but have read mixed reviews, most notably that it is overpriced and overrated. My system is complete SQ. I have focal components up front, forgot the model number but i think v69 slim or something along those lines, and MB RCS269 components in the rear deck, with the rear doors not connected.
With this setup what would you guys recomend for a good SQ sub that still has SOME pound. I was thinking of maybe going 2 10's for more snappy bass, but really dont want to give up TONS of trunk room (another reason im thinking of leaning away from the 13w7).
Thanks in advance

Fi audio is great they can't be beat price for performance
go with a Q (they're SQ line. i have the 18" btw). a 12" would probably fit you best. they drop LOW. not too great on the highs (70hz+ side), but nice components like you have should take care of that
jl is overpriced/rated, but the W6's are great woofers nonetheless. said to be better than the W7's...
