Streeteffectz, please help!!!!
Hello,
I have seen a lot of post from you and is amazed on the job you have done with the TL and the bimmer.
I need your help to shed some light. I just finished installaing BMW factory Tuner to my nav screen. The instruction that I have stated that I am able to add another video device to the nav screen through the BMW video module. There are 4 pins (wires) that I need to connect to a DVD player. The 4 pin are composite video input, composite video input shield (i don't know what this means), composite audio input, and audio input shield.
I have checked that majority of mobile DVD player has either S-Video out or component video out. So I do i connect those for wire to a mobile DVD player?
Also, I can't find a connectors for the 4 pin to splice to. Can you help?
regards

The composite video in is simple....say you take the component video cable from the DVD player (the yellow RCA end and cut it off)....there will be a silver shield around the inside under the rubber housing of the wire...that's the shield and the middle conductor is the input....so you attach these accordingly to the bmw adapter.
The audio is the same way but you use the red and white connectors.
As for which wires to splice on the BMW end, I can't really help you with that without seeing it or having the schematic.

thank you so much. Now I understand what to do now.
I know which wire at BMW's end. I was just wondering if I could actually attach the wires to a female RCA connector.
But you just answered all my question. Thank you so much for the help.
