I was wondering if you can wire two separate headunits to run together. The 2 sets of two I was considering are:

Kenwood KVT-911DVD with the Kenwood KDC-X815. If I do this, I also have the KMD-D400 minidisc changer to hook up with it. The KVT is a monitor that plays DVD's and CD's, so would I be able to run both headunits together?

The other option is to switch out to a Pioneer setup. I like these models:
AVH-P7480DVD paired with the DEH-P8400MP.

I've seen many people do it, but they've had shops wire it up. If I were to do it myself, how would I go about doing it?

Thanks for any help!

Check out David Navone's site as they have an electronic A/B switch. Navone products are/were highly regarded in the car audio competition scene.

Sure, you can do it, it's as simple as using the auxiliary input from one of the headunits, or making a simple a/b switch with some relays to toggle between sound.

Nope, you will just be interrupting audio, not power
