stock amp help

stock amp help

HI
does anyone know where the stock amp for a 2000 3.2TL located ? ALso do i have to disconnect the battery from the car before uninstalling the amps ?

it would probably be a good idea to take the negative cable off your battery before uninstalling the stock amp just as a safety percausion... as for where it is located... it should be on the passenger side behind the rear seat... when you take out the back seat you will see it plain as day... ok now you will probably ask how to remove the rear seat... simple remove the one bolt near the middle of the seat... it is quit tricky to get to but if you push down on the bottom seat cushion near the middle you should be able to see it... i believe it is a 10mm or maybe 12mm.... after you remove that bolt you can just pop the bottom cushion out.... and lay it to the side.... now you should have like 3 more bolts that hold the top cushion in place... remove those and pull up on the top cushion and there ya go..... hey can i ask why you are removing the stock amp....

I think my stock amp is creating a buzzing sound so i just want to take it out to see if i am right. Thanks again
