I figure i'll bring this to your attention...
I'm looking to do this video mod on the navi system.. All Im looking to do is get my custom mp3 player to output to the screen either via vga,composite or s-video. I came across this

The problem with these schematics is they are VGA to RGB converters, not composite or S-Video to RGB + composite sync. Now if you wanted to connect a computer VGA output to navigation screen the "Analogue composite sync signal converter" might work.
