Steering wheel controls

This probably has been discussed before, but I can't find the thread....how have people, who changed their HU, keep their steering wheel controls? I just bought a JVC KDSH77, but is there a way to connect the controls?

Yes, you can do it but it is a very complicated process involving major modification so I wouldn't go there.

nemogira - Awesome! Thanks for the link dude.

SumkidwithaCL - Sorry to hear about the theft...but I love the deck! The Alpine CDA-7878 sounds better, but it doesn't sound 2x better for the almost 2.5x in price! (240 vs 610 shipped)

just put in the control module from crutchfield today and man am i stoked to have my steering wheel controls back. it was pretty easy to do spliced in 3 wires, programmed the unit, and then mounted the IR transmitter.
I have a pionner head unit currently so i get my volume up/down and the middle button advances the cd track/radio station forward.
thanks go to nemogira
