Steering wheel controls

I have a 2nd Gen TL-S. I love my audio steering wheel controls. But I do want to replace my HU. I was considering buying the Pioneer AVIC-N1 (or N2). Is there any way I could get that to work with my stock steering wheel controls. Also, what do people think of the Pioneer HU?

Thanks,
Chris

Lotta AVIC-N1 and N2 lovers here. (I thend to think of most PI U's as too glitzy for me - I prefer Nakamichi and Denon : )

Check Autotoys for a PAC SWI-X steering wheel control adapter.

You could also get the Pioneer CD-VC1 also. This has a steering wheel mounted remote along with the voice recognition.

it doesn't interface

most car stereo's arnt even capable of interfaceing with the steering wheel controls. think about it, cd changer input, preamp outs, thats pretty much it.

That is where the PAC SWI-X that EL suggested comes in. It works with any aftermarket stereo that uses a remote control. I have one in my Honda Pilot working my Eclipse AV-8132. You can program the steering buttons to do any function that the remote will do.

I found mine on ebay for like $50. I think they normally go for around $80 or something.
