The stereo place that installed my sound system said they couldn't install the steering wheel adapter because the adapter is configured for more buttons whereas the 01-03 CLs only have 3 buttons (up, down, change). I have a feeling he's full of shit, so does anyone here who owns a CL have steering wheel controls for their aftermarket sound system and if so what kind did u get?

 

depends on your headunit. it's true that it only has three buttons and it would be pretty useless for the new HU.

i bought a steering wheel remote and it has so many buttons... it's perfect for my HU

Sounds like he doesn't know what he's doing. I've done steering wheel controls on the car many times. It's never given me any trouble.
