speakers upgrade?

Although the stock speakers are already pretty good, has anyone of you upgraded the speakers to something else?

If I'm planning to not add any Amp, any good speakers recommended, that is pretty much install and use without additional drilling and/or modding?

Thanks!

An aftermarket speaker upgrade will make a small difference, but it'll make a WORLD of a difference if you add an amp (even a small one) to drive your aftermarket speakers.

Most people say it's not worth replacing your speakers without an amp.

This is the way to do it... Or just replace everything at the same time... That's what I did...

I would do everything at the same time. Changing out the speakers will only sound a little better. Pairing them with a decent amp will make a world of difference.

Yep, Mossy's right... And as for good sounding speakers, everyone has their favorites. It's you call, but I'd start with brands like Polk, Dynaudio (if you have money), Rainbow (again, kinda costly, but from what i've seen/heard worth it). Other people like infinity, but I don't like their tweets. Other people will tell you that Alpine is the best, and from what I heard in my buddy's car, the Type S's were a great budget upgrade.
