I was wondering what type of component do you guys suggest, which brand , and how is the fitting on our TL,

Ivan...I just fouund out ur name is my name + another V..j/k ...Anywayz..I just test ur speakers and it still sounds really nice without any other bad noise....I guess there is something wrong with ur crossover...u know there is switch on ur crossover rite? did u adjust it to the right ohm...I think the switch is to adjust the right ohm for ur speakers...If OZ also make a different size of speakers...they might reduce the making cost by using the same crossover for all the models with different size...so if u didn't adjust the right one...it might be crossover blew out..hope this help a little..

I got ur message...u know I just see a commercial on magazine...that OZ speakers 6.5in with tweeter and crossover only cost $19..in Mac Car, Walnut...how much u got urs? I think it is the same model....u can go chk it out...Also for crossover...If I give u some random one...and the specification is not right...it will even blew out even sooner...maybe to ur amp and speakers..And my dad 's company didn't supply OZ...so if u want the right specification...they will cost tooling charge and all the stuff...so..Mac car have the same speakers for $19 then I think u can get those cheaper...

I'm thinking of getting component speakers for the front sometime. I'm new to the car stereo modding scene, and I'm surprised at the amount of stuff that's out there. One friend is telling me to put in some good stuff like Infinity or MB Quart. I don't know if my stock HU could power the good stuff though, prob not.

Is Oz a good brand too?

You're a EE and you are new to this? Infinity is a level above MB Quart by the way. I have to take care of my brethren. I can recommend some good stuff for you, but ultimately you need to listen to it....and as for Oz...no, they are definitely not.
