speaker wire ?

i just installed a pioneer dehp3600 yesterday and its sounds great. however, before i go ahead and put the console back in, and screw everything in, im wondering as to whether i should replace the stock speaker wire. My questions are:

1. Is it worth it? Is there going to be a noticeable difference in sound quality. BTW, my stock wires do seem awfully thin. I was thinking 18 guage.

2. Is it a pain to feed wire through factory door gromets, in order to feed front speakers.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, 2 6.5 aftermarket coaxials in front (some off brand name - cant remember) and 2 stock 6.5 in rear

It's not worth it in any way.

YOu MIGHT get an improvement with better speaks and an outboard amplifier... but no stero shop could dream of charging you to do that work with the equipment you describe, and guarantee you'd hear a difference afterwards... cause you wouldn't...

Here's Derrick's thread - notice the level of gear he's running...with deck power and coaxials, bag it... too much of a PITA in the grommets.
