I just like to confirm one thing about this mod. This mod is for anyone who wants to just replace the front or rear Bose stock speakers (without removing the Bose eq and without installing any additional amps) in the Acura TL, correct?

 

Yep. It is designed to FIX the Bose EQ so that it sounds OK with aftermarket speakers. Basically, Bose boosts the highs on thier speakers because they have crappy paper cones and don't have tweeters. This mod cuts down on those highs to provide a more well-rounded signal to the aftermarket speakers. I know it works well with the Polk DX6 speakers; it probably will work well with others but I'm not sure. Southbound, you're the authority there....

Anyone interested in doing the DX6 mod, please let me know if you need a pair of DX6. I bought a used pair off Ebay awhile back for back up but I don't think I'll be needing it...the true is these suckers ain't going to break down i think...anyways, they are slightly used by the previous owner..I think he said he installed it and run it for a week or so then upgraded to something else. I've never used them since I bought them..if you need them, they're yours for $75 shipped..the price I bought it. Thx.
