[B]What are your thoughts on this headunit? Does it have good sound quality?

yeah I had one in my civic that was totaled...I still have it but I am unsure as to whether or not it will look good in my tl-s. anyone else EVER seen an mex-1hd in a tl-S?

personally i would suggest looking at something, anything else other than sony. there product line doesn't carry the same quality, durability, etc since they switched from Mobile ES to Xplod lines. for the money you would spend on that you would be better suited looking at alpine, kenwood, pioneer, panasonic or eclipse. compare the features avaiable in the decks that are closest to the price range you are lookin at spending and i bet you would agree with me about the sony ....

well I got mine for $700 about a year ago. and I seen them at best buy recently for 450. IMO the sound is awesome, it looks like no other HU (especially at night) I have access to hours of music without fumbling cd's in traffic it also plays my memory sticks from my NW-ms11 mp3/atrac player. THE ONLY thing keeping me from putting mine into my TL-S is the fact its single DIN and I cant find a kit for it. it even has IR control so you can keep your steering wheel volume controller(with another kit)

yeah you can do that, the CC i work at still hasn't even gotten it into our warehouse, so I just went another route
