Someone Please Explain this to me...
I found this great article in the DIY sticky but I am terribly confused at this one section that says...
"Connect 4 speaker wire to amp outputs (these will be connected to the inputs of the aftermarket amp) and 4 speaker wires to the speaker input (these will be connected to the outputs of the aftermarket amp.). Locate the remote wire and tap into it (do not cut it since the factory amp needs it)."

What is this saying? I am installing a mono amp + sub and I am thinking I need a line out converter. If someone could explain this (maybe in color code) it would be a huge help. Also, which color is the remote wire? Yellow/White?

Man, not much action over here anymore. Alright, so let me put it this way.. did the guy who made the DIY cut the speaker wires and run them through the aftermarket amp?? That's the part I don't really get.
I'm looking to do the same thing only with a mono amp/sub and believe I only need to tap into the rear speaker wires.

Before I Switched out the OEM Stereo I had a Line-To-RCA converter from the Sub Wires. There must be 4 wires going into the subwoofer convert them to RCA.

Yup, that makes sense, thanks. That is what I am planning on doing as well just want to clarify that I do not need to cut the rear speaker wires and instead just tap into them.
