solobaric

How many of people on this forum have Solobarics. I have never heard a solobaric yet. What is the sound like from those beast. I have 2 10 alpine type s, but wanna get something new and my choice is L5 Solobaric 12 or 15, and Alpine Type R 12.

Any comments on these subs anyone.

The amp I have is a Kenwood 1000 watt and 460 RMS.

hey dnd sups- i have 2 12inch solobaric L7 with a PPI 1400 watt amp...this was the first set of subs i had for my car so i can't really judge the sound of these compared to other subs in the TL, but from listening to my friends' sub set-ups(audiobahn, eclipse, jl), i think the solobarics are more for the loud bass lovers...if you listen to a lot of rap and songs that hit, then i recommend you try these out...so far i have really enjoyed these subs, the only down side is they give out a lil bit of a "punchy" bass at times...try going with a L7 15"-- they are supposedly better than the 12's

Well i just got back from the Audio place and droped off my car, but chekc this out. One guy jsut got his car done wit 4 solo L7 15's . His licence plate fell offff. and had like 4 pairs of components inside. IT was a old chevy to so i just think it was a waste of money. But I dunno I think I might just go wit the Alpine Type R since I have everything Alpine anyways.

I know this is a old post, but since this I have a alpine type R 12 in my car wit the 500s rockford amp.. Should I go ahead and upgrade to a Solobaric L5 12????? all the pros and cons will help..
I will be keeping the 500s amp.
