Putting miles on the new car like its my job...got the RCA's installed into my console last weekend and now im looking to put in the amp this weekend. Let me see if i have this all correct first. I need to tap the Front L/R and the Rear L/R and create RCA's outta them BEFORE they go into the stock amp for the most flexibility of my system? Then i can decide what i want powered by which amp, and it will bypass the xovers for the factory amp which i can then build a xover to suit my speaker choice later on...correct? Thanks everyone...this board has been much help
Now i just have to get the sack to undo my new car so i can run the wires....why...oh why do i have to like really good sound

Remember to make use of the factory shield leads when making your RCA taps... this involves taking apart the upstream lead of your DIRECTIONAL rca interconnects.
Altersys...so your just saying make sure i get the directions correct for the directional RCA's i splice in right?
Also, from xperience, is there a better side to run the power/RCA's (left, right, center) and 2) can i get away with running everything down the same side w/o interference (power/RCA's?) so that way i can take apart as little as possible? Thanks...

Still here
The passenger side is the easy way to run the power cable, but this is only because its easier to get the power cable into the car from that side of the dash.
Spooooooon !
Exactly, there is a rubber gasket that you can jam the power wire through on the passenger side. It will pop out just above the rug in the passenger footwell.
