Slightly OffTopic: Safe to drive with console and dash removed?

I'm in the process of working on my carputer install, doing prelim measuring and planning, etc. It's an '01 CL.

I'm wondering, while I have the console and lower dashboard removed, (including the power ports and seat heater connections unplugged) is it safe to drive while all that's disconnected? Are there any kinds of issues that might arise with the "Maint Req'd" circuitry, etc? I'm just wondering because the whole project is going to take at least a few weeks, and I kinda have to drive to get to work and stuff...

sure, I have had my car in pieces for years and driven around with no problem. The only problem is you have to look at your disassembled car all the time and woory about getting it done.

Yeah, well, I've already faced that one, but I keep focusing on what it's going to look like, instead of what it temporarily looks like, so that's all good. The other problems I've faced already are that the temp here is down into the 30's already and I of course disconnected the seat-heaters so I could get to the console. Also, I keep trying to lean my elbow on the console, but it ain't there anymore.

As long as there aren't any problems with having all the wiring blocks disconnected (power ports, seat heaters, etc) then I guess I'll just focus on the measurements and other planning.

Yeah you should be good. Just don't disconnect any of the airbags, or major electronics such as the ECU.
