Sirius Radio Adapter thru Cd Port

I am really interested in going with the Sirius satellite system, specifically the Kenwood tuner-- the size of the unit are similar to the Pioneer XM unit. Anyway, I would like to avoid changing the factory head unit and would also like to avoid FM modulation. Is there an adapter similar to that of the Blitzsafe for the XM system that goes thru the IP CD Port? The local CC told me that since XM is partially owned by Honda, that there are no adapters that are currently available for SIRIUS tuners. Does anyone know for certain of an adapter available for the Kenwood Sirius unit thru the factory Acura TL HU??

You should be able to do this. I don't see that it would be any different than what I did to get XM with the Alpine unit. Look for my posts about my install. It should give you a lot of the info that you will need. Also, be careful at CC. A lot of those guys don't know what they are talking about. If you want to talk to someone there, make sure you talk to a person from the Road Shop or whatever they call it. The ones who do the installs are the ones who will know.

I DO NOT KNOW HOW YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO TUNE INTO THE CHANNELS ON THE STOCK UNIT. BLITZSAFE OR THE OTHER COMPANYS MIGHT HAVE A PLUG, BUT I WOULD THINK YOU WOULD HAVE TO HAVE SOME TYPE OF DISPLAY FOR THE THE TUNER BOX AND THEN FED IN THE SOUND TO THE HEAD UNIT.( VIA APT OR FM MOD). CIRCUIT CITY ROADSHOP QUALITY HAS DECREASED OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YAERS. IF YOU CAME TO MY SHOP WE WOULD FM MOD THE SIRIUS BUT THE TUNER IS FREE. 85 INSTALL.

As I said, you will be able to tune through your Kenwood tuner. Which will be connected to your factory HU through the BS adaptor. You will just press the CD button to toggle between your CD/Sirius modes.
