Selling the L7....maybe?

As you know, ive asked a few times about punchy-ness. I have been refered to get rid of my 10" L7 and go with a 12" Infiniti Kappa Perfect. They said it would move more air, but be tighter and much more punchy than the kicker.

Anyone have any verification on this?....or better yet, does anyone have any better suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

My amp pushes a little over 600 watts, if that helps.

i want to use my trunk, as it is right now i cant because of a shelf. If i got the w7, not only would i be out of over $1000 bucks (new amp, box, install) i'd be out of my trunk.

I listen to rock/metal, i need the punch off the kick drum. I do not, under any circumstances want boom.

If my L7 is too much, i dont even want to imagine what a w7 would be like.

the 10w7, if installed correctly will provide some of the most accurate punchy bass you can get. yes it rumbles if you want it too; i have the same preference as you, i wanted TIGHT PUNCHY LOUD bass, i struggled with 2 mbquart 10s in a ported box, then a single JL 12w3v2 and even a kicker 12" CompVR. Yes the 10w7 costs more but its worth it, especially considering you have 600 watts to work with which will power it perfectly. As for as "hit me in the chest," yes you will get that and more from the w7. The key with this sub is that it was designed for musical accuracy and sound quality just as much as it was for loudness...As long as you find a highly respectable shop that will build you a SEALED box to JL SPECS it will sound amazing...hope that helps

oh yeah, the box isn't huge, its not a small box sub, but its not an enormous box sub unless you considering ported, which i don't recommend given what you want out of this

also, the 10w7 takes time to break in, but once it does you are money
