Question Secret Navigation Menu

I believe there was talk a long while back about a secret Navigation menu, that would enable the changing of colors on the Navigation screen, view the satellites that are currently active etc.

The way to reach there, was by pressing 3 buttons simultaneously while switching on the car or something along those lines.

I have been trying all kinds of combinations with no success in my 2000 TL. A long time back, I had definitely gone into that menu.

Any idea what are the 3 buttons that need to be pressed and how to go about entering the "secret menu" ?

Thanks in advance.

From the menu, the top two and then the fourth one down. It should be done in that order 1, 2, 4 (very quickly) and hold until the screen changes.

I tried it but I can't get it to work, the screen changes too fast. Also, you mean to press 1,2,4 on the menu items, not the buttons on the right by the joystick right?

no, you press the buttons above the joystick. press (and hold) menu, map, cancel, in that order. Hold all three for a few seconds, and the diagnostic menu will come up.

As dordal said, it's the buttons on the right side of the screen.

Make sure you start from the main menu. I've had problems if I tried it from that map or anywhere else.

Worked for me and there was a place to change colors, but would have to go back to remember the screen name.

I just did it and it works. I'm still figuring things out, but in order to make the color stick, you need to manually change the red, green, and blue values from that same screen. Then press set and the colors on the map will change. Not sure if there is a way to make the menu colors change though!!
