Second Gen Sub install
Ok, ive read all the DIY's and am still having trouble wiring my amp for a new sub. what ive done and is successful:
12v From the battery to amp over 4g wire.
Grounded properly. amp turns on when i jump the remote to the 12v
Signal taken from the purple and yellow wires and soldered to an rca plug
subs pound when hooked up.
problem:
ive read that the blue wire on the stock amp harness is for remote turn on of the amp. ive also read that the orange one is, even tho there are two oranges, ive tried both and it seems that its a constant 12v source even when the car is off. i dont want to drain my battery. the blue wire does nothing for me when connected to the remote location on the amp. and i also hear a buzzing/wining noise coming from the stock sub when im driving around. what have i done wrong? HELP MEEE! thanks in advance.
