Return to stock issue
I am trying to put my original factory radio back in my 2003 tl non nav. Many years ago Circuit city put in a pioneer avic n3 and it is on its last leg. Tech used AZ as a reference and did a pretty good job. I am trying to undo the modifications he made. The two bundles of wires behind the head unit had jumpers on three of the wires on each clip, I removed the jumpers and crimped the original wires back together but I can only get sound from the left side and the sub and even the steering wheel controls work fine. I'm wondering if there might be something disconnected at the amp or eq that I'm overlooking, any help would be appreciated. I did find a pair of RCA connectors back there that seem to go up and toward the steering column that were used for the avic but I guess aren't used for the factory radio.
For future reference
Ok so since I got zero suggestions about fixing this issue I dove back in this morning. Turns out the tech also jumped several other wires and spliced in the RCA connector onto another Bose module above and behind where the radio is mounted, I believe this is an EQ module. Because I didn't have much space and wire to work with I opted to solder the connections back together matching color to color and removing the spliced in RCA connector. I added a US Aspec adapter for iPod integration and it worked perfectly, hand controls and all. Now I need another few hours to put all the shit back together.
