I have a '98 CL 3.0 Premium with steering wheel audio controls. My factory stereo died, so I bought a used replacement without knowing model number of original. Installation of replacement worked, but steering wheel controls did not, and installer did not mention model number discrepancy, so I had no clue. After some homework, I bought another used replacement (on the way) with exact same model number and exact same faceplate number as my original. Will this new replacement work with my steering wheel controls via plug-n-play, or is there something else I'm going to need? ~Thanks

 

The answer is YES - steering wheel audio controls work as long as the radio is the same model number/faceplate number.
