Red face Replacing stock amp...

... how difficult is it? Can I just take it out and put in a JL 300/4? I realize it won't fit in the same place, but is there much additional wiring? (i.e. power, speakers connections, etc.) Is this something I should take my TSX in for professional installation, or can a "built my own computer" type of guy set it up?

Besides the JL amp, what other brand should I consider? I'm setting a limit of $350 on the amp, $150 on component speakers for the front, and a couple of coaxials on the back (less than $90). I think 300 watts is good rms number.

For now, I'll bypass a subwoofer. It's the mids and highs with more oomph that I'm planning for. (i.e. jazz, classical music)

I haven't narrowed my search for speakers yet, as there are very few stores where I can listen to speakers around here. A short list in consideration is: Alpine, MB, Polk, and Boston. I'm still open to others.

Thanks for yor input!
