replacing speakers

I have just put in one subwoofer and now i need some highs..its to much work to add tweeters. So can i just replace the front door speakers and on acura.com it say that the speakers are 6 inch where can i find a 6 inch after marker speaker. Also dosent the factory only give 12 watts to each speaker? how did everyone else replace the door speakers and keep the factory head unit.

Hey Southbound, I think you are being paged

dnd2984,
Run a search using keyword "Polk" .
More info than you ever need. Our current resident expert goes by the handle of Southbound. He'll answer any question you have, he may even send you some free stuff, but don't tell him I told you so.

Yeah,dnd,
Read the LONG *speakers* thread that has like four pages on it now...

The POLK DX-6 coaxial speaker works exactly perfect for what you are trying to do.

The bad news is that it has been discontinued, so you need to buy them when and where you can find them.

Also read my post thread *POLK DX-6 availibily*
It will tell you where they are still currently available. But they are going fast... The stock headunit does only put out like 16-18 Watts, but it's enough to get a decent level of volume in the car.

You're right, IGGY, my pager just went off...
