Removal of AC Vent on passenger side or Clifford Alarm LED, who knows how??

I want to get the Blackwood trim for the Vents on the passenger side Dash of the car, but my installer mounted my Clifford Alarm LED on the bottom of the vent piece which is on the left hand passenger side. The LED sticks out quite a bit and I dont like the surround that says Clifford on it; cheapens the interior of the car. What I want to do is sink the LEd a little further into the dash so that once I drill a hole in the Blackwood trim piece and put it over the LED it will be nice and flush, or at least it wont stick out as much. Anyone know how to do this?? Thanx in advance.

That's a weird place for the LED?

But anyway, you could cut off the LED and solder a smaller one to the existing wires. maybe blue to match your TL-S??? (I have 2 superbright blue LEDs for my Clifford IG9000). That would be easier to mount under the vent trim. And if you get the vent trim just use a Dremel to make small hole enough for the LED to peek thru. Or you could put it somewhere else and cover that hole in your vent with the BW trim piece?

But I have no idea how to get the LEd out. I tried twisting it around with no luck and I dont know how to get the vent out so that I can get at the back of the LED with access to the wires. Thanx for the info though.

Question

How about going back to the shop that did the install and have them change it? Do you have a Helm manual? You do right? Look in there as to how to access the rear of the vents. You can do it!

No Helm manual yet, I need to get one. Its probably just in ther with clips, but I dont want to risk breaking it. Changing an Led is such a simple thing, plus I wanted to experiment with mounting it in different places. Someone else mentioned the possibility of using flushmount LED's. I need to see some pics of what they look like. They sound interesting.
