Question Remote turn-on Wire for AMP

I installed my amp and for the remote turn on wire i used the WHITE with RED stripe wire. However, this wire isn't switched with the radio ON/OFF switch. Its constant 12V with the iginition on. So the amp stays on whether the radio is on or off.

I also looked at the stock bose sub amp location and tested all of the wires coming into sub amp. The only wire switched with the radio is the ORANGE wire but it only supplies around 9.7 volts. Not enought to turn my amp on.

Is anyone using a different wire for remote turn on?

ok i could be reading what you said wrong, but the white with red wire is the 12 volt switched wire for the radio. This means that as soon as the key hits the accy position that wire will be supplied 12 volts. It will hold the voltage whether the radio itself is on or off. it is the wire i am using for my amps.

Scott,

Yes, that's what i'm saying. Its on with the key in the ACC position. Do you know of a wire that turns on and off with the Radio, and supplies 12v aside from wiring up a relay??

thanks..
