Remote Car Starters
When I bought my Pathfinder the previous owner alreay had one installed on it, the remote no longer works. I think it needs reprogramming but I didnt get the manual with the car and after waiting literally on hold today for over 1.5 hours to get info about it from the maker of the remote, I decided to go with the 'fuck that, im gonna just get a new one' policy.
So I know nothing about them so I need some help. Basically I want it to remote start the car and I want to be able to use that remote to lock/unlock the doors. Its a 98 Pathfinder with a factory alarm system, so I dont need another security system. If someone wants to go through all that trouble for an 8 year old SUV then they can have it .
So any suggestions? Im basically looking for something cheap that will do those two things.
Thanks

almost any decent starter will do keyless entry, factory arm/disarm.
Check out Compustar.com for a 1WAM-S
It has the features of factory arm and disarm for your alarm, as well as keyless entry, and remote start for standard or automatic transmission vehicles.
and its got an awsome range, I think around 1500ft
