Recovering Navigation Voice

I'm finally done hooking up my sound system the way I want it, but now I've lost the lady in my navigation system who tells me where to go. I have a PAC OEM harness hooked up to the stock harness which enabled me to hook up to amps. Any suggestions? Thank You!

Wow! No one has ran into this problem. All TSX w/navi owner's in this forum were able to retain all navi voice/bluetooth functions after bypassing the factory speakers for aftermarket ones. Can you share your methods?

I'm having the same problem. The guy at best buy said that I wouldn't lose the turn by turn by adding after market deck.... He was wrong...

According to the 06 Service Manual the voice comes out of the Navi unit and into the Audio Unit where it appears to get mixed and sent out on the left and right front speakers. The 08 navi might be different but here are the connectors/pins on the 06

Navi Output:
Connector B B5 White/Green +
B12 Grn -
B11 Light Grn - Guard (Shield)

Note the wires change color somewhere along the way in the wire harness

Audio Unit input:
Connector A A13 White +
A 12 Blue/Red -
The guard wire does not terminate here as expected.

I wouldn't expect that an Amp install would require any disconnections or changes in this path. But since you have the 08 model and the navi is newer, this path might be different for that model.

Are you sure you checked the setting in the Nav? Removing the battery might have changed something.

I have an 08 Navi myself. The sound only plays through the front speakers. The only way I could see this happening is if you have your front inputs plugged into the rear outputs of the amp. Tell us more about your amps and set up you're using. I'm not familiar with the PAC OEM harness. I used Mercman's harness.

Yes, I recently purchased mercman's harness and it solved all my audio wiring horrors. Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
