Talking Recieved the Video in my Navi Kit today!

Got the Video in my Navi kit today from Steve. The shipping was very quick, was only about a week. It comes very professionally packaged and the box looks very professionally made as well. Can't wait to have it installed and working tomorrow. I'm hooking it up to a PS 2 as my DVD player & Video game.

can't wait till 2morrow!

Question

Hey have you installed the RF Modulator? I can't seem to find where I plug in the "Atenna Cable". Where'd you mount your decoder anyways?

Veilstylez: The unit that I have is the original "Video on my Navi" kit. which is $180, and $10 for shipping. There is another model the Deluxe version which also comes with the RF Modulator included.

As far as installation price, you gotta ask your local shop or whoever is gonna install it for you, I would recommend StreetEffectz but you are in So. Cali.

I am a new Acura TL owner. Are you saying that there is a way to use the navi to watch normal DVD's thru the Bose system.

Yes there is a way to watch DVDs and any other video source on your Navi screen. You will have to buy a kit from SteveStMS. Then you will have to buy a portable DVD player or Mobile VCR and TV tunner if you like. Then you gotta have it installed.

Question

pfwong;

I understand you installed your decoder in the trunk. I would like to do the same thing. Would you by chance have some instructions or pointer. Have you are anyone else found a way to get audio through factory system without using a modulator? Please help.

Cool

"I" completed the install of a VCR, TV Tuner, Roof-liner antenna, FM Modulator, and Navi. decoder last night. My local shop wanted $400.00. I figured I should at least try first before surrendering over that amount of cheese.

Guy, or ladies, if I could do it most of you should try first as well. This was the first time I ever wired anything to anything. However, professionals like StreetEffectZ are more than worth the money the charge. My system works, I didn't say it was pretty, or near the custom-look of pics posted by Streets' and other.

Observations:
 Picture is better that hoped.
 FM Modulator is a little disappointing.
 Instructions were straightforward
 Removing radio was a bear--still need to put back together.
 For TL '00, I think the trunk would be easier to install vs. behind the radio (especially if you have to fit a Modulator as well)
 The relay wires are very thin, and pull a loose from the connectors easily if tugged.

If you can wait a while, StreetEffectZ is working on an audio solution that feeds from the CD changer (which I hardly ever use) to feed audio. Should deliver better quality over the FM Modulator, and with trunk mounting, you won’t have to touch the radio or dash.
