I have the Metra Kit installed in my 2nd Gen CL.
DIN slot is occupied by my Sony Head Unit and lower 1/2 DIN location is empty.
I have Infinity Kappa Componets that I absolutely hate.
They were modified for my doors recently and not looking to replace them yet so my natural thought is to squeeze an equalizer in there.
Two questions:
* If Equalizer is your recommendation...which one?
* If not, what can I do with that wasted space?

I am getting all types of shit back from my internet search.
Audio Control 3.1 is made by Audio Control?

It is hard to use while I am driving because I hit two or three buttons at one time.
I'll check out the Kenwood.
Never had anything of theirs and not sure what they are doing now in comparison to their competition but I'll check it out.

I know another shop that could do it but would it work with any deck to my stock CL steering wheel controls?
Sounds like it would expensive for me in labor to do that.

I'm checking out the Audio Control Three.1
Would that be able to filter the "Metallic" sound out of my Infinity Kappa Perfects?
Just too bright for me and don't want to purchase new crossovers yet!

As far as the steering wheel controls... what deck do you have? Some Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Sony and JVC decks have wired remote input and can be integrated with your steering wheel buttons pretty easily.

+1 for the Audio Control Three.1
Not sure how well its gonna fit in the 1/2 din slot tho. It looks kinda deep

The THREE.1 is about the same depth as a standard din sized radio. I've actually flush mounted one into the "business card" drawer above the radio in the CL and TL. As you can see in the last picture the THREE.1 is as deep as the kit's pocket.

IMO Inf Coax are great off HU power, and that's it. Inf components have harsh highs and poor midbass. I never understood what the hype was surround Inf Perfects or Kappas.
I'm assuming the speakers are amped? An fix to consider is to find a textile tweeter w/ similar specs and swap out the Inf tweets, which I've never been a fan of.

If the issue has to do specifically with the tweeter.
I would be willing to swap it out.
Hmm...just figuring out how to replace that tweeter.
Might have to go back to the shop and ask around.
Shit...but everytime I go down there to ask questions...I always buy something!
