rattling in the back from my subs...

well i have 2 12 inch subs and they seem to rattle when ever i crank it. i think it depends on the bass waves cause some times it will sound good then other times it sucks. well i think its coming from the trunk its self. in a few weeks im gonna do dynomat the rear and do you think this would help. almost seems like it comes from the trunk latch. i put some electrical tape around that and i think it helped a little. any ideas suggestions or what you have done.

With the system playing get out of the car and lean on the trunk. Note any changes. Then press firmly on the license plate, and note any changes.

with subs in the trunk you WILL have rattles no matter what, unless you bolt the trunk lid down. dynamat does help, but doesnt stop it. the rattles will just get worse, when I first got my system, there were very few rattles, now there are quite a bit more. The good thing is you can only hear them on the outside, the inside is still nice and tight and clean sounding.

Just the fact that the subs move so much air that the trunk lid itself gets moved.

see mine i can hear from the inside. i had the same system in my a4 and there were no rattles inside until your eyes would blur. out side was a different story. but i finished the license plate rattle with some foam tape. i did the trick with unscrewing the trunk stops. that helped but not enough.

what is making noise on the inside? the only thing I have is the sunglass holder actually. It is pretty bad at certain frequencies, but everything else is still fine.
