What's the best way to eliminate the rattles in the heatshields above the mufflers? When my bass is bumping, the shields rattle like crazy. Can Dynamat be used. I'm afraid of heat related issues.

Have the heat shield cut. Cut right out I mean. Ive done it on other cars as the sheild was noisy. That said I have never done it on my TL.

 

I wouldn't recommend cutting the heat sheild. They're there for a reason. I cut mine above my cat' in my Integra and that heat would emanate up the shift boot and get my linkage hot. I'd buy heat wrap and wrap the 'shield and/or muffler...

 

Yep, just installed my sub today and have mucho rattling from my right heat shield.

Did you end up remedying the rattle? If so, what did you do?
