Question rattle

hey everybody

i jus installed 2 12" w6 jl subs with a 1000/1v2 jl amp
in a ported box, (not custom)

the trunk rattled unbelievably when i first installed it but i dynamatted it and now it only rattles a little bit

the problem i am having with rattling now is inside in the rear where the stock sub is, should i remove the stock sub completely and dynamat that area. or whaat!!

secondly should i get another amp for the stock speakers in the doors
would anybody recommend changing the speakers as well?
ive heard many suggestions such as get an amp and new speakers, get new speakers and no amp (i no that doesnt sound rite), and just get a new amp and stock speakers

lastly should i invest in a custom box, if so, sealed or ported and what kind of design is good?

thanx for takin the time to help me out

Should you? Sure, why not?

Could you? have the money to do all that? now that's a different story

Sound dampening will reduce road noise and some vibration, but with less road noise and vibration, other sounds will be more profound. You can never stop it all

Go all the way if you have the money! Replace your HU, your speakers and power it w/ a good amp. Fully deaden your doors and trunk to stop any rattles and you should be good to go! Life is too short to listen to funky speakers and that's how stock speakers sound.

from what I understand, enclosure & amplifier will ultimately determine what kind of bass your subs will deliver.

I just spent $350 to have a box made for one 12" . nothing cosmetically appealing to the eye but designed to deliver the bass that I want.

basically, it depends what kind of bass your trying to achieve. SQ (sound quality or SP (sound pressure) for competing. also from what Ive heard, ported gets louder but may not sound as clean.

is your current box a prefab box?

do your front doors first
guessing the momo's are the MMC6500's? Those sound pretty good for what they're worth
