ok..i heard that 99-01 tl radios cant play mp3's and the 02-03 radios can...i found a 03 tl in a junk yard and im about to buy the radio my problem is the radio code...do i need to get the vin # from the car in the junkyard and call acura for the code or is there a way to bypass it....i also heard that it's plug and play..is that true.....any help would be appreciated...thanks...

 

You definitely need the vin. If you call up honda, you will also need to provide proof of ownership of said vehicle. You wont be able to do that on a junkyard car. Someone on here might be able to help, I my friend, am in the same boat as you are...

 

look on the trunk lid from the inside, and youll see a small sticker with the code, or look behind the glovebox, or behind the ashtray. I dont know how smashed upp the car is, but the code should be in one of those places, 6 or so numbers.
