When trying to switch over from radio to play a cd the cd player goes into check mode and then displays Er-E1 error. I can't find anywhere what this means and how to fix it. I've checked my service manual and owners manual along with the info thread. Any ideas?

 

I have this same problem. I've talked to Acura about it. If your warranty covers it, great, if not, say goodbye to 300 bucks.

 

Common problem, happened to me a few months ago........haven't been able to fix it

 

There's a guy on ebay selling a service to fix our radios for 149 "any problem" as long as you havent been jamming cd's in and trying to pry them out.He offers a 60day warranty on his work also.I'll be the first to tell you the guy is the real deal.got mine fixed 8 months ago + no problems since. If you interested I'll go find the slip and give you the #.and you can talk to him directly.

 

try to reset it by unplugging the fuse for a min or so. or disconnect the battery. other than that there isnt much else you can do.

 

just went and found the slip.and it's actually cheaper than I said.It was 119+16 for shipping

 

had this too, just bought an ipod and ipod tape player adapter, and never looked back....hours and hours and hours of non stop music, and every CD i own in one place as well...

 

^ Nice, as of right now I'm using the Motorola ROKR T505 (wireless,bluetooth,transmitter) it let's me play music off of my BlackBerry Curve and take calls through my car speakers. Its pricey but well worth it

 

I had a radio transmitter for my I pod and it sounded like crap especialy with my subs on so make sure you get a good one also I tried to find music on while driving almost crashed I took it out I cant handle having it in my car Obviously.

 

yeah thats why i bought the tape player Ipod adapter. Its cheaper and the sound is SO much clearer!! I heard the radio ones didn't perform like they were supposed to.
