Does the TSX radio display the radio station name or the name of the song that is being played in the CD player (CD text)?

 

Unfortunately no.

 

It displays neither. Only the radio frequency or the disk no. if CD is playing. This is my non-navi model.

it's hard to believe that a 2004 model doesn't have a radio that is capable of displaying text.

 

The aftermarket Kenwood unit I had in my 92 Camry had the ability to show RDS text and CD-Text... all the CDs I burn have CD Text. So when I got my 03 CL-S I kinda missed the ability to show the CD-Text. The RDS stuff for the radio not so much since it's not used alot anyway.

When I test drove the 04 TL I saw the XM showed artist/song info, but that didn't have CD-Text or RDS either!
After knowing the TL doesn't have it, I didn't feel too bad after seeing the TSX didn't have it either.

 

I must say, I love the TSX but am majorly disappointed with the premium sound system. It's amazing that a 2004 almost lux vehicle doesnt play MP3 or display radio information or CD tracks.

 

everytime i think about this it makes me get angry.

 

I just wish the TSX radio would at least display track progress so that I could at least see where in the track I am.
