Radio fried
In case any1's been lookin, I posted in a previous thread a couple of days ago about the fuse of my radio being blown. (or at leat I hope it was) Well I took it to Circuit City and they looked at it and tested all the currents. Everything seemed fine he said. Dude puts the radio back in tellin me it should be workin. 2 seconds later the radio turns on and I'm like wtf. So I'm happy with it and leave thinkin maybe a wire was pinched or whatever.
Drivin back home and I'm turnin it up a bit and same thing happens; blank display and no sound. BUT this time it's done! Next thing you know there's a burnin smell in the air
. Funny thing is my clock is a lot dimmer now. A LOT. Can barely see it when the exterior lights r off. What could've caused that?
This radio is done and I was wonderin what you all would recomend. I have Infinities all the way around including the sub. Sub amp has a max of 500w peak. Swayin towards alpine, sony, and jvc.
What features to look for so somethin like this doesnt happen again? Help an audiophile out. Any insight w/ the clock being dim would help too.

Sorry to hear that.. I had a feeling it was the radio going on you.. Let them replace the radio etc and see if things return to normal.. I would pull the radio out though for safety reasons..
In the meantime you can check your fuses to make sure it didn't fry another fuse when it went on you..

Troubleshooting wise you need to eliminate the problem first to go to the next step..
