Quick Questions..
Quick Questions..
Ok since my system isn't workin no more ( i blew 3 channels in my amp a month ago)...and i haven't spent the $ to get it fixed...i am going to add a lot of stuff along with fixing my amp...so I've been looking around and got a few questions..
1) What is a fuse distributer block? When would it be needed?
2) Where can I get motors that operate a motorized amp rack...like StreetEffects has...
3) Do 6X9's just put out bass or do they put out vocal stuff? I know this is a stupid question but since I have 4 10"s in my car would it be worth buying a new set of 6X9's or leaving the stocks in?
thanks for your help

A fused distribution block is basically what it says... it has an input (or sometimes multiple inputs) for heavy gauge wire, then each output is fused. If you are running multiple amps this allows you to run just one large power wire from the battery, and split off in the trunk for power to each amp. The fuses are good especially for amps that do not have an internal fuse (ie: rockford) and for extra protection against short circuits.
The motors you are looking for are actually called 'actuators', its a threaded shaft driven by a motor at one end. Im sure Ron can get them for you... or if you want to take a look at them and get an idea of prices, look here.
6x9's can and usually do put out mids and highs... the stock ones in your car do put some highs out, just not a whole lot, nor do they sound very good in the process. Aftermarket 6x9's have coaxially mounted tweeters (and midranges on certain models) to produce actual high frequencies from a driver that is intended to. I'd definatly change out the stock 6x9's for a little extra clean sound comming from the rear... the stock speakers just dont sound good, for anything.
