Ok, so i installed an aftermarket HU in my 01 TL, and i also wired up the factory sub/amp to work (thank you very much for the "how to" thread here). Now the sub is working, but it doesnt have the same bass that came out of it with the stock HU...

Why is this? And is there a way to make it sound better? Or is it something i did wrong?

You adjust the settings on your HU? Built in EQ?

 

Yes, i played with the settings. It does have a EQ its a alpine cda-105, the only adjustment it has for the sub-out (or that i found) was just the sub level
