hey, do you guys think it would sound good with Infinity Kappa 63.5i 3way 6.5" speakers in all 4 doors with the stock headunit and the equalizer bypassed?

ps. i have a 10" pioneer free air sub in the stock sub location powered by a 175 watt rms amp at 4 ohms

how do you guys think this set up would sound?

 

Well, the stock HU is probably quite a bit underpowered to drive those speakers. But if you're looking for a nice intermediate step before getting an aftermarket HU/Amp, it's probably good enough .

 

i would say that you will be underpowering those speakers with the stock system... yes it will sound better than the stock speakers but you will not get the full potential out of those speakers using the stock headunit to power them....

 

can any one recomend and speaker that would be powered about right by the stock h/u

 

Bose paper speakers? The kappas will work pretty well, it's just that they perform better at the upper end of the power range. Kappas just seem high end for this application, but if you have em you might as well use em You could get reference series speakers instead, or some kenwood/pioneer speakers. That's just my 2cents tho.
