Profile amps any good?

I dont know much about car audio but i was flipping thru crutchfield and noticed the profile amps were pretty cheap and i havent really ever heard of them. I have a 10" infinity kappa sub and wanted something to power it and eventually power some components up front. I dont want to spend a lot so do you have any suggestions for an amp if this Profile one isnt good. How are the pioneer ones?

If you are not looking for high performance stuff, go with Pioneer or Kenwood. Dont go with Profile, those are overrated cheap amps. They'll get so hot that you'd get burnt touching them. Stay away from them.

Don't buy a profile, I had a friend that bought one. They overheat and shut down a lot and don't put out as much power as they say. Pioneer is better, pheonix gold or xtant would be even better though. Getting a good amp is worth the extra money, it makes a huge difference. I have an orion xtreme on my 2 kickers and they are run into 2 ohms and I have had no problems with it. Whatever you do, don't buy a profile.

The profile amps are really not that bad, they do produce good power for not a lot of money... my friend had one powering 2 infinity kappa 12's and it went on forever and it pounded like hell! Plus they have a 2 year warranty, a very good thing! I'd say go for it... especially with crutchfield, if you find you dont like it, you have 30 days to return it.
